River Bend Transport Company and River Bend Brokerage Co. are the over-the-road trucking groups of Consolidated Grain and Barge Co. River Bend Transport Company (RBT) and River Bend Brokerage Co. (RBB) are wholly owned by CGB Enterprises, Inc., located in Mandeville, Louisiana. CGB has been a leader in the grain and transportation industries since 1970 by operating a global enterprise with more than 100 locations and over 2,000 employees in the United States.
RBT was founded in September of 1980 and operates under Motor Carrier Number 139243 as an asset based provider of dump, pneumatic, and flatbed trailers that service the lower 48 states and Canada, as well as offering intermodal services throughout the Midwest.
RBB was founded in December of 1989 and operates under Motor Carrier Number 223276. RBB was originally founded as support for RBT for the purpose of locating seasonal trucks during grain harvest and ice control salt season. Since then, RBB has branched out to become a full-service third-party logistics provider with four strategically positioned offices near New Orleans, LA; Cincinnati, OH; Chicago, IL; and St. Louis, MO.
RBT & RBB partner with Consolidated Terminals and Logistics Company (CTLC)
, a division of CGB Enterprises, Inc., to provide freight forwarding services worldwide for bulk, break-bulk, containerized goods, and project cargo. We provide ocean freight services utilizing CTLC’s worldwide vessel chartering and brokerage services. CTLC operates 14 rail/barge loading and unloading facilities located on the Mississippi, Illinois, Ohio, and Arkansas Rivers. These facilities give us the ability to offer direct rail loading and/or unloading services with direct access to most Class 1, Class 2, and several short line railroads that operate throughout North America. As a company CGB Enterprises, Inc. handles more than 10,000 combined north and southbound barge loadings per year of approximately 30 different commodities.
